Just Desserts She lowered the knife and it grew even brighter. How was she to know that this pumpkin was her love? Yet, right before she sliced off the top, a voice screamed out "NO!" The knife clashed noisily with the floor as she jumped back in surprise. After a quiet moment, she picked up the knife and gently prodded the now softly glowing pumpkin with the handle. It laughed. The pumpkin, I mean. "Wh... What are you?" she whispered quietly. The pumpkin jumped up and executed a perfect bow, made somewhat difficult due to it's lack of a body.Just Desserts

Untitled Rain falls like teardrops yet the moon peeks through the clouds, leaving it's fingerprints on the flowers. A tree outside the window-- it's leaves deep reds and golds, the bark a pale russet. A person approaches, the crisp sound of his footsteps echoing through the courtyard. He walks as though burdened with a world of weariness. He wears a long trench coat, it's color indistinguishable in the lone streetlight.
